The Information Technology Directorate invites applications for Application Specialist - ERP position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires a meticulous individual who can provide technical and functional support in the areas of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems administration, problem resolution, support, process mapping, system testing, security access and training.
The successful candidate will design, test, deploy and maintain data processing solutions to enhance UDST ERP systems and configure, maintain and troubleshoot the functional modules of HCM/Finance within the ERP Systems.
Must have expertise in following modules of PeopleSoft ERP
· HCM PeopleSoft (required)
· Finance PeopleSoft (preferred)
The successful candidate will develop procedures, in coordination with the relevant stakeholders, to ensure that the integrity of ERP system and databases are maintained and assign appropriate system access to users at different levels across UDST in accordance with policies, procedures and processes also ensuring that ITIL standards, as well as external and internal regulations and policies governing data management are met.
The successful candidate will define user needs and develop data processing solutions with end users on all functional modules. Document business needs and requirements for upgrades and enhancements.
The successful candidate will support in the analysis, design, construction, implementation and documentation of the creation of IT applications in alignment with UDST policies, in support of regular ERP business operations. He/ She will develop and implement project plans for ERP functional support tasks and ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner, in coordination with the relevant stakeholders and troubleshoot application software and database problems, and liaise with business, technical staff, and vendors for resolution of ERP issues in a timely basis.
The successful candidate will support students and employees facing portals, and ensure accurate and seamless access to appropriate information.
The successful candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge with UDST mandated programming languages, applications and software and emerging IT software and development trends, also ensuring design and development is current and in alignment with best practices.
The incumbent will prepare reports documenting ERP system and ensure monitoring and compliance with ITIL standards, UDST policies and procedures and audit requirements and also perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in IT or related field
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT or related field
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English language required
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language preferred
Other Required Skills:
A team player with strong IT technical skills and the ability to apply technical knowledge and provide sound comprehensive support along with a desire to achieve organizational success and to lead by example is required. Proactive in attention to detail and good time management is essential. Knowledge of Analyzing functional requirement, technical know – how of education technologies, Application development, System Integration, IT project management and Principles of Information Technology is required. A Commitment to ongoing IT training and continuous professional development is desirable. Analytic thinking, problem solving and service excellence should be the strong attributes.
