Company Description: V-Farms is an innovative Agri-Tech company that provides cutting-edge technological solutions for food security in Qatar and the GCC countries. The company is going to carry out a massive project aimed at improving Vegetables production in Qatar. We are looking for an experienced Chief Agronomist to lead a pioneering project in vertical farming. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Agronomist located in Doha, Qatar. The Chief Agronomist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant and crop production, including cultivating crops, optimizing plant growth, and developing farming techniques. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and manage agricultural sustainability and production. You will be part of the senior leadership team and report to the CPO of a multi-investment startup. You will be responsible for developing, and implementing the techniques for growing vegetables in the vertical farm of the new generation. You will be responsible for the supervision of the project from its inception to completion. For this role we are considering both contract and permanent placement candidates depending on whether the employee will decide to remain at the company after the project's completion or not. Compensation: to be discussed during the interview process. Location: Doha, Qatar Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise agronomic operations of a highly specialized, multi-functional vertical farm for growing various types of vegetables.
• Oversee the key project processes, performance reports, data, and analysis.
• Proactively identify external resources when needed, facilitate contractual relationships, and integrate external resources into development teams.
• Work in tandem with the Chief Product Officer, Operations and Quality Managers, review and monitor quality and process improvements.
• Lead the company's strategic development and detailed planning of its agronomic activities.
• Full operational management and control of the company's agronomic activities in accordance with approved plans.
• Preparation of coordinated reporting forms on the company's agronomic activities.
• Recruitment, training, and development of personnel motivation and control systems necessary for conducting the company's agronomic activities.
• Implementation and monitoring of operational standards (rules, procedures, etc.) for conducting agronomic activities for the company's front-line staff and other employees of the agronomy department.
• Calculation and achievement of the best cost values for production in the Middle East region, obtained within the framework of the company's agronomic activities.
• Development, implementation, and monitoring of execution of technical maps requirements and other agronomic standards ensuring the highest quality of industrial production of products created within the framework of the company's agronomic activities.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticulture or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the agriculture industry.
• Expertise in crop management, production systems, and soil science.
• Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and environmental regulations.
• Experience with precision agriculture and emerging technologies is a plus.
• Specialization in multi-spectrum vertical farms to grow a wide range of agricultural products is a huge advantage.
• Demonstrable project leadership/management experience in vertical farming.
• Actual experience in delivering 2-3 projects from start to finish in the relevant field.
• A proven track record of project management success in Agri-Tech industry.
• Ability to aid in Strategy and Budget planning of high-cost projects.
• Ability to collaborate as a member of a senior-level innovation think-tank.
• Continuous Improvement experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
