HSE Engineer- Oil and Gas Industry

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

2. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.

3. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HSE policies, procedures, and practices to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

4. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to minimize recurrence.

5. Coordinate emergency response and crisis management activities, including developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans and conducting drills and exercises.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning, design, and execution.

7. Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics and trends, prepare reports, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

8. Stay abreast of regulatory changes, emerging trends, and industry developments in HSE management and incorporate relevant updates into organizational practices.


Skills

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.

2. Professional certification in HSE management (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is preferred.

3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

4. Thorough understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and guidelines relevant to the oil and gas sector.

5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

7. Proficiency in HSE management systems, incident investigation techniques, and emergency response protocols.

8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of HSE management.
