Overview of the role:
As a technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure the technical integrity and functionality of Volvo Trucks and Buses by conducting mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnosing faults. Your goal is to address issues promptly and effectively.
What you will do:
• Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnosing on Volvo Truck and Buses Recommend effective solutions for identified faults, aiming to resolve issues correctly on the first attempt, whether in the workshop or at the field
• Utilize tools and diagnostic software and adhere to best practices outlined in service manuals to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Read, comprehend, and implement instructions from workshop manuals, schematic drawings, electrical circuits etc. utilizing service checklists where applicable and available and ability to conduct duties in a workshop environment or independently travel to worksites in various locations
• Able to write Clear Field Service Reports after completion of each job and obtain customer approval
• Responsible for the highest levels of work quality and customer satisfaction
• Work closely with the Aftersales Supervisor/Team Leader to ensure that jobs are completed within stipulated manufacturers or local standard times

About the team:
In this role, you will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment reporting directly to the Service Manager.
What equips you for the role:
• 2 to 3 years of experience in service and repair of Volvo Trucks and Buses
• Diploma/ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• English communication skills (oral & written)
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities
• Proficiency in utilizing Volvo Diagnostic Software, tools and following best practices outlined in service manuals
• Possession of a Qatar driving license is of advantage
