main responsibilities:
- Diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy;
- Managing common digestive disorders such as GERD, IBS & IBD;
- Review patient histories, perform physical exams, and make diagnoses regarding patient’s gastrointestinal (digestive and gastrointestinal tracts) problems;
- Create treatment plans for patient’s gastrointestinal problems;
- Explain treatment recommendations to patients;
- Interpret results of diagnostic tests;
- Treatment may include prescribing medications, counseling patients on diet changes, or performing surgery;
- Monitor patients’ progress.
Skills
skills & competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Arabic would be an added advantage;
- Up to date knowledge of techniques in the current market;
- Empathic and friendly personality;
- Strong work ethic and confidence;
- Excellent attention to detail.
education & qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree of Medicine;
- Specialty Qualification Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology, additional courses are an added advantage;
- Experience within the same specialization, particularly with diagnostic procedures;
- Willing to relocate to Qatar.
