Position PurposeMid-Term Develop market position and market share of BASF-Nunhems in all crops in Egypt through establishing and maintaining the highest level of partnership with current and future direct customers, building up long term relationships with potential national or international, indirect (and potentially direct) customers in line with the M&S strategy and within BASF-VS in order to realise profitability and partnership. Analyse and report the market potential changes and help management to build a long-term vision and strategy; as well as analysing and reporting about market player dynamics and commercial approach . Coach existing peer employees to perform and develop professionally. Long termCoordinate, promote and coach the organization BASF Egypt on the sales Vegetable seeds in Egypt. Identify and develop potential and active key customers. Develop a individual crop strategies that enable the achievement of ambitious targets of growth, with special attention to Tomato open field, Melon, and protected crops. Create a strong international network of stakeholders (PDs, RCLs) that can support a fast growth and knowledge development across the organization in Egypt. Major Accountabilities:SalesWork with all direct and indirect customers to set the most reliable forecast CY & CY+1Realize the sales forecasts, create a pull effect and push on sales channels to ensure results. Plan, review, adapt and execute the annual and/or more annual sales plan in line with M&S strategy in order to match the plan with the production plan and stock. Introduce company product to (potential) national and international customers in line with M&S strategy in order to inform and acquire customers. Following the crop strategy and in coordination with the Country Sales Manager: formulate and negotiate with customers regarding annual and/or more annual contracts and concepts, within broader guidelines, in order to realise the short-term sales targets and the long-term partnership relation. Steer the Customer Team to assure all aspects for the correct development of the projects being carried out with the strategic customers being the most proactive link to always anticipate the critical path and avoid failure. Direct involvement in international or cross-border projects with customers is a part of his/her work, MarketingProvide market, price, and product information in order to contribute to the formulation of the marketing and sales plan in the crop team. Report to the management in order to keep the management informed about proceedings in sales and the consequences for the other departments (operations). Cash ManagementTake care of the money collection in line with the financial policy and the payment terms in order to ensure sufficient cash flow. Product DevelopmentContribute to the trial program of pre-commercial and commercial varieties in line with M&S strategy in order to come up with proposals regarding the assortment. Initiate the introduction of new varieties and propose on price level, and product forms in order to contribute to commercial success of new varieties. QualificationsBachelors degree in Agriculture. English language: business fluency. Competencies:Good listener and analyzer of customer needs. High level commercial skills. Ability to communicate and influence and act within a team. Ability to work in a matrix organization. Ability to mentor colleagues within commercial activities. Social versatility: adapts to different cultures.
